There were 28 NOTFAST members at Parkruns this week, taking in Lincoln, Sewerby, Tamar Lakes, Gedling, Dalby Forest, Belton House and Newark. PBs this week for Ann Manley, Anna Wilkinson, Gail Knapton and Breeze Rowlands.
On Saturday, it was the Bassingham Bash; a 5-mile road race through the Lincolnshire countryside, and NOTFAST were well represented again for this event. First back for the team was Damian Davies in 30:40, followed by Adrian Dix (33:49), Simon Eccleston (38:02), Peter Clark (38:03), Jim Lovett (39:02), Jeremy Reichelt (39:30), Peter Lane (40:47), Janet Davies (41:44), Marilyn Hatherley (43:11 and age group winner), Stuart Hawkes (43:38), Kirstie Crook (44:26), Chris Redhead (46:55 and new PB), Val Dethick (47:10), Ernie Clarke (50:53 and new PB), Annie Cunningham (50:53), Cathy Clarke (52:10 and new PB), Maria Brambles (55:13), Chris Mumby (55:42 and new PB), Jacqui Walton (56:24), Madaleine Combie (58:13), Karen Borrill (58:18), Sam Moyses (1:02:45), and Claire Simmonds (1:04:54)
Kimberley Etherington-Bates was at the Decathlon race series in Sheffield, for the latest in their series of 5K events. Kimberley came in 3rd lady in an excellent time of 22:40
On Sunday, 3 NOTFAST runners were by the sea at the Cleethorpes Half Marathon. A flat course, taking in the costal paths and some closed country lanes before finishing on the promenade. Adrian Dix was the first back in 1:35:38, followed by Angela Brown in 2:14:47 and Faye Hemingway in 2:54:07.
The NOTFAST team were in Sherwood Pines on Sunday for the annual 10k, which is fast becoming a NOTFAST favourite. The course is mainly through the woodland of Sherwood Forest on hardcore paths, with plenty of small hills. Peter Lane was the first back in 52:51, followed by Breeze Rowlands (58:31 and new PB), Ben Prince (58:44), Charlotte Sutton (1:02:01), and Kira Green (1:17:49)
Nikki Dales completed her first half marathon on Sunday, and chose the Andover Trail Half Marathon to do this. In the rain, and with 1100ft of ascent during the race, Nikki completed it in 2:28:34
