All of our other NOTFAST results come from Derbyshire this weekend.
Four of our runners went camping at Chatsworth for the weekend, and took in the Chatsworth 10k. They had a chilly start to the day with ice on the tents before tackling the challenging hilly course – basically 5k uphill followed by 5k downhill! Adam Jackson 55:11, Kirsty Watt 60:01, Angela Brown 60:11, Faye Hemmingway 66:54.
Stuart Ashley was in a different part of Derbyshire for the Stanage Stumble, a 23 mile walk from the outskirts of Sheffield up the Limb Valley, along Burbage Rocks, Hathersage, Stanage Edge, Redmires reservoirs, Rud Hill, and back down Limb valley. Stuart tackled the 2800 ft of ascent in very windy conditions with a bit of rain thrown in to finish in 7h36.
Adam Holland was at the 12h Conti Lightning Run, a sister event to the Thunder Run, held at Catton Park. Adam found it tricky to get the pacing and re-fuelling just right, and had a couple of falls resulting in a painful knee, but he was still the winning solo male runner, completing 130 km (80.7 miles) in 12h41. Fantastic! Adam’s full write-up is on Facebook.
