There we 29 club members at Parkruns this week, in Keswick, Melton Mowbray, Bakewell, and Newark, with new PB this week for Paula Dowling.
On Wednesday, NOTFAST hosted the latest Nottinghamshire Summer League. While most of the club were volunteering to put on this 6-mile event, there were still some runners. Peter Clarke was first back in 43:50, followed by Dale Mordue (44:50), Andrew Rowlands (47:59), Steven White (52:40), Netty Stevens (53:19), Stuart Chase (54:54), Colin Green (1:07:39), Alexander Combie (1:16:03), Edward Casebourne (1:28:28), and Zoe Smith (1:33:41)
On Friday night, NOTFAST were at the Skelly 6; a 6-mile trail race around the woods of Skellingthorpe, Lincoln. Simon Lock was first back in 48:31, followed by Fay Parker (51:05), Chris Redhead (53:39), Nikki Dales (53:57), Breeze Rowlands (59:40), and Kirstie Watson (1:01:30)
On Saturday, Claire Wood was at the very hot and hilly Hathersage Hurtle; 20 miles of beautiful trails, and finishing in 3:53.
Also on Saturday, Kimberley Etherington-Bates was at the First Liverpool event of the weekend, in the Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K, finishing in 26:53. On Sunday, in the Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon, in challenging conditions, Kimberley finished in 2:10:29.
Also on Sunday, Steven White was at the Rother Valley 10k in his final training for the Edinburgh Marathon next week, finishing in 55:35.
