There were 43 NOTFAST members at Parkruns this week, taking in Gedling, Belton House, and Newark, with new PBs this week for Andy Floyd, Anna Wilkinson, Lynne Hare, Kirsty Watson, Sue Catley, and Sarah Ridley
On Saturday morning, Piotr Dura was at the Forest and Moors half marathon in Scarborough. With 1700ft of ascent, Piotr completed the event in 2:09, an in 8th place overall!
Also on Saturday, Beth Webster completed the “Survival of the Fittest” 10K obstacle race in Nottingham, although she unfortunately broke her hand in the process!
On Sunday, Damian Davies, Adrian Dix and Simon Lock were at the Yorkshire Marathon. A fairly flat course, with some hills in places, Damian finished in 3:00:31 (PB), Adrian in 3:14:22 (PB), and Simon in 4:06:23 (PB)
Claire Wood was at the Tennyson 8, a multi-terrain 8-mile course. Despite it being very muddy, Claire finished in 1:14:00
Chris Redhead was at the Great Eastern Half marathon in Peterborough. Some treacherous hills, but a very well supported event, and Chris achieved a new PB in 2:07:53
Breeze Rowlands and Nikki Dales completed the Beacon Trail Half Marathon on Sunday. A very tough course, with lots of hills and muddy trail. Nikki finished in 2:29:25, and Breeze in 2:36:05
Jim Lovett was the Goose Fair Gallop in Nottingham. This is a 10 trail run put on by the Kimberley and District Striders. Enjoyable but tough, with some great views, Jim completed the course in 52:30
Finally, Maria Brambles was at the Oxford Half Marathon on Sunday. This was a nice, fairly flat course, and Maria completed it in 2:22:21
