A little belated but noteworthy are Liz Walton and David Watt’s results from last weekend. David completed his first Sprint Triathlon at Southwell in 1h9m 29s. I think this was just a warm up for The Woodhouse May Day Challenge, 13.5m off road, which was on the following day. Liz completed in 2h 24m 44s while David jogged round in 1h 56m 43s.

Another belated result from Andy Watts who was our sole representative at The Bingham Track Races for Road Runners on May 1st.

Andy said it was very different to road running. He ran 800m in 03-49.1 and 1500m in 07-57.3

This Saturday, along with Caroline Upton, Liz and David fought their way round ‘The Dirty Weekend’ course at Burghley. This was a 20mile, 200 obstacle, course comprising of the usual delights including cold muddy water, bales, cargo nets, muddy fields etc. All good dirty fun which all three finished battered and bruised in a semi-hypothermic state in 5h 51m 20s.

David then ran The Sleaford Lions 10K at Cranwell on Sunday as a warm down in about 47mins. This time he was joined by John Geeson, who is wary of claiming his time of 50m 05s as a PB as he has doubts about the precise distance.

Cheryl Kempster took on The Bishops Castle Round Challenge Walk in The Shropshire hills. Cheryl walked the 22m route in 8hours.

Finally the Summer League individual results are: Richard Hallam 30m 33s (63/213), Andy Pritchett 41m 04s (186/213), David Gill 44m 19s (209/213), Sandra Needham 41m 38s (61/95) and Kate Fisher 42m 18s (72/95).
