Our marathon phenomenon Adam Holland has his winner’s hat on again. Adam ‘warmed up’ by winning the Colwick Park Run in 16m41s on his way to Telford. He then ran in the Sunset to Sunrise race from Coalport running along the banks of The Severn and on the disused Ironbridge to Bridgnorth Railway Line. The aim was to do 27miles or as far as possible between 4.11p.m. and dawn. Adam of course quickly finished the 27miles in 3h48m to be first home once again.
Edward Casebourne and Jonathan Van-Tam had a great day out on Sunday at the Stilton Stumble 10K, Cropwell Bishop. This was a well-organised, friendly event (300+ runners) on quiet back roads and lanes around the village, set in beautiful countryside. There were some long gradients to add a bit of challenge. They egged each other round, and finished together in about 63m 15s with a PB for Jonathan.
Piotr Dura has been away in Poland running here there and everywhere. This included the Cieszyn parkrun which is the only one in the world with a route in two countries. It starts in Poland then crosses the border bridge into the Czech Republic. After a couple of miles the route came back into Poland. His latest half marathon was on a hard course in Koscian which Piotr finished in a good 1h39m.
