NOTFAST had five brave runners at The Valentines 30k (18.6miles, equivalent to running from Newark to Nottingham) road race. This is a very popular event with 750 runners taking a hilly, picturesque country route around the lanes and villages near to Stamford. On a lovely sunny day with spirits riding high, Lee Crossland was first back in 2h 36m 34s followed by Piotr Dura 2h 38m 12s, Steve Hodson Mackey 2h 48m 24s, Kate Fisher 3h 13m 34s and John Miller 3h 18m 08s.

Even more demanding was The RaceKit mini mountain marathon at Chinley, North Derbyshire. Liz Walton and David Watt ran this off road moorland event with steep ascents and descents, they also enjoyed ploughing through snow on the tops. A great day out and a finish in 2h 42m.
