Dick Brumby took on The Stathern Duathlon on a day better suited to reading the Sunday paper in front of the fire. He ran 5K, cycled 18K then ran another 5K up hills, through snow and rain and all into a headwind. He finished in 1h 40m 12s exhausted, cold and wet but warm with the glow of achievement.

Liz Walton and David Watt took to the hills of Derbyshire to brave the elements and The Wolf’s Pit Fell Race which was, in the conditions, as frightening as it sounds. They ran 5.71miles and ascended 1532feet in 1h 21m and 59m respectively.
Great, cold, wet fun was enjoyed by Richard Hallam and his Bernese Mountain Dog, Chelsey, when they went to Hicks Lodge in Leics. for a 6.7K Canicross Trail Race. There was a big turnout of runners and dogs for the hilly, twisting, mixed course of trails and mud. Richard and Chelsey finished in 24m29s. who was pulling whom along I have not been informed!
