Nine members of Notfast Running Club took part in the Ikano Robin Hood Half Marathon. This is a very popular race and this year attracted some 6,600 runners. Held on closed city roads the course is essentially flat but with some leg-sapping sections around the University, Wollaton Park and the Derby Road on the return half. Always well marshalled and supported by the people of Nottingham it boasts a splendid finish on the banks of the River Trent.
Sunday morning saw good conditions albeit with a fresh breeze at the start. Most runners seem to prefer these conditions to warm and sunny. This is how the Notfast contingent fared:
Richard Hallam 1.28.48…overall 246th out of 6,600
Chris McDonnell 1.32.14 391st
Mark Jackson 1.43.33 1st ever ‘Half’

Wyn Thomas 1.54.40
