I start with the earliest and longest, on Saturday, on a bike.  Dick Brumby ticked off another ‘must do’ event with The Cycle Sportive 60mile circuit of Rutland Water which included 1268metres of ascent.  Hot, tired and saddle sore, Dick finished in 4h 36m.

The Bassetlaw Bash is a hard Challenge Walk starting near Retford.  Stuart Ashley completed 25miles in 6h 28m while Edward Casebourne walked the 12mile route with his 10 year old grandson in 4h 28m.

And, of course, The London Marathon.  Despite injuries affecting training and the race, heat stroke and fancy dress, all our runners completed the task, earned lots of money for their various charities and gained enormous self-respect and satisfaction.

Mike Bullock                      3h 22m 45s.

Steve Hodson- Mackey     4h 23m 10s.

Andy Pritchett                    4h 36m 28s.

Kate Fisher                         4h 53m 26s.

Claire Baker-Moyes           4h 56m 21s.

John ‘Dusty’ Miller            5h 30m 12s.
