Fantastic result from an Ultra Race in The Lake District.  Liz Walton and David Watt completed the Grand Tour of Skiddaw on 24th August.  It was the first time that this event had taken place and attracted about 50 runners.  The course was 44 miles with 7132 feet of ascent, and completed in 14hrs 45mins. ‘A good, but hard day’ according to David.

Three of our members ran the Grimsthorpe Castle 10k today, beautiful weather (well too hot really) to run this challenging but very scenic course through Grimsthorpe Castle estate.  Kate Fisher 56m23s, Cheryl Kempster 66m05s and Bob Oakham 69m54s were all happy with their results.

Colin Green walked, at some speed, The Mansfield Classic 5K in 37m30s
