Notfasts Kathleen Davis took on the Brinsworth 10k near Rotherham. A charity event for the benefit of the local Hospice. The tough undulating course was well marshalled, with two water stops, handy on a warm morning. Kathleen finished in 47.14

The second Fernwood 5k, here in Newark attracted a much bigger field than last year and also benefited from having an accurately measured course.. (last year, how can we put it ?..was a ‘bit quick’ ).

Fifty four runners faced near perfect conditions and the prospect of a pancake flat, two lap course round the Fernwood development. Good marshalling, good atmosphere,. a ‘local classic’ race in the making.

Lee Crossland 21.44

Chris and Lynn McDonnell did the Holme Pierrepont Grand Prix races, a series of 4 races running Tues/Thurs evenings over the last 2 weeks. They were at 4 different venues
Holme Pierrepoint, Wollaton Park, Rushcliffe Park, Colwick Park
They were a variety of distances- 5k, 4 miles, 5 miles and 10k, all over multi-terrain. Lynn thinks she came about 8th in her age category, Chris thinks he came about 6th. The final overall results are not yet posted on the web-site.
Lynn and Chris both did them last year and said were all muddier this year.
David Gill also ran them. He was faster then Lynn but slower than Chris.
All finishers received a short sleeve technical t shirt .
