Four members took up the baton to complete The Rauceby Ripper, an eight and three quarter mile off road mud fest, on Saturday 2nd February.  A new course this year with less road running was enjoyed by all.  Gill Beaumont strode round in 2h26min while David Watts ran and slithered in 1h12m32s followed by Dick Brumby in 1h19m21s and Liz Walton in 1h28m34s.

Our stalwart but unfortunately lone, cross country runner at The East Midland XC League on 3rd February was David Gill.  David braved the mud in Bramcote Park to complete the race in 58m45s.
Finally a new race for any Notfast member was a CanixCross 5K race in Sherwood Pines.  Richard Hallam ran with his young Bernese Mountain Dog, Chelsey, attached by a long flexible lead to a waist belt.  This was big, soft, Chelsey’s first race and she and Richard absolutely loved it.  They finished in a worthy 19m25s which put them in second place in their category.
