John Miller is a big supporter of the Parkinson UK charity and supported them by running The Spooky Sprint 10K at Holme Pierrepont in 59m25s enjoying the sight of lights bobbing all along the lake.

Piotr Dura ran a good race at The Birmingham BUPA Half Marathon in 1h37m56s.

John Geeson ran The Shepshed Seven in 60mins on grass and hilly track.

Liz Walton and David Watt were again in the Lake District this wet weekend to take part in the Lakeland Trail series ‘Dirty Double’ with a 15K race on the lower parts of Helvellyn on Saturday and a 14K race around Ullswater on Sunday. The race on Saturday was shortened to 10K due to strong winds and rain. David completed in 50m58s and Liz in one hour. Sunday’s race started with a 30mins boat trip across the Lake serenaded by singer songwriter Pete Lashley. Liz completed in 1hr:36mins and David in 1hr:22mins. Both races were challenging with slippery conditions. Patterdale Mountain Rescue had to deal with 7 accidents on Sunday – “all okay, just broken” was the comforting summary.

Stuart Ashley and Edward Casebourne went to Barton-le-Clay for The Steppingley Step Challenge walk and covered the 26.2m marathon distance in 8hours.

A wind blasted Caroline Upton ran The Inaugural Three Rivers Challenge trail run from South Kyme. This was 15 miles, mainly off road with the usual stiles to jump, livestock to avoid etc. The second half was like running forward into a wind tunnel. Caroline finished in an excellent time of 2h27m and was second lady home.
