RESULTS 7th AUGUST

Notfast Running Club had members running in Lincs, Notts and Derbyshire last weekend.

David Watt was in Bassingham for the Bassingham Bash 5 miler and got round in a pretty nippy 38mins 46 secs..thats about 7.45 per mile. This is a well rated run with good PB potential and many report that they would do it again.

On Friday evening a foursome went to Nottingham University for the Jagermeister 10k. This is hosted by the newish club called Formula One Circuit Crew, formed in 1998 they boast to be ” Nottinghams fastest growing and Loudest running club”…( as I live and breathe they obviously have never heard the row that Notfast can generate…Ed ). The two lap race is all on-campus and for those who do not know the setting, runners get a good mix of gradients, all on a safe quiet course ( because all the Students are on their Hols) . This is how they fared:

Chris McDonnell……………41.30

Lyn McDonnell……………..55.14

Andy Pritchett………………50.26

Paul “Ziggy” Zemontas……56.24

Further afield another five were at the Dovedale Dipper with choices of 15 or 26.5 mile routes. Largely set in National Park this is the place to be if classic limestone scenery is your thing, and if the prospect of nigh on 4000 feet of ascent is your thing as well then few could be dissappointed.on the longer distance.

15 mile results:

Dick Brumby…….3 hrs 53 mins……1st across the line !!

Kath Ashley……..6hrs 00

26.5 miles:

Colin Green……………7 hrs 40 mins……PB !!

Stuart Ashley…………7 hrs 40 mins

Edward Casebourne…

A great set of results all in all and perhaps a mention for those who only a few days earlier had done the very tiring Adidas Thunder Run 24 hour Relay…that’ll be David, Andy and Colin.
