John Geeson finished the Kings Lynn 10k in 52 minutes

Richard Brumby and Gill Beaumont were at the Woodhouse Mayday Challenge.  This is a 13.5 mile event, mainly off-road, that takes in Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire.  Rated very good for walkers, Richard power walked round in 3hrs 14 mins, matching his previous best time.  Gill finished in 3.53.

David Watt and Liz Walton also ran but no times available at present.

Mike Bullock did the mid-week Chorley Harriers Astley Trail Series’ race.  This was the first of a series of four very tough Wednesday evening races with very steep climbs to contend with.  Mike finished 16th out of 200 starters with a time of 29 minutes for the 4.4 mile course.  This position was remarkable as all local runners have great Fell Running experience, which is relatively new to Mike.

Stuart Ashley and Edward Casebourne were near Sheffield for the Stanage Stumble.  An ‘Ultrawalk’ of some 25 miles, mainly off road, with a total of 3000 feet of ascent on a sunny day without the predicted showers meant that the Notfast couple were able to finish in 8 hours 22 minutes.
