Sun and run this weekend. Great events but far too hot – 9th August 2015

Paul (Ziggy) Zemontas ran an excellent 51m58s 10K at The Castle Rock race.
Saturday saw six NOTFAST runners brave the elements to run The Bassingham Bash 5m road race. Jeremy Reichelt finished in 39m09s, Marilyn Hatherley 41m09s, Claire Wood 43m32s, Annette Taylor 44m48s, Colin Green49m39s and Rachel Sheldrake 54m18s (hold that name).
Sunday saw ten NOTFAST runners at the popular Southwell Swine to run on a rough hilly cross country course. Richard Borrill ran five and a half miles in 48m53s as did Kate Fisher and Adam Jackson together in 58m07s, then (check the name) Rachel Sheldrake in 65m32s and Karen Borrill in 69m. Adrian Dix ran the eleven mile route in a fine time of 1h27m, followed by David Watt 1h35m, Stu Chase 1h46m, Liz Walton 1h47m and Andy Rowlands (running his birthday present from Stu) in 2h04m. (Andy is giving Stu an Ironman entry for his birthday; as revenge).
John Geeson ran The Caythorpe 10K in 55m04s.
Our Ultra eventer this week was Piotr Dura. Piotr continued his love affair with The Peak District by running The Long Tour of Bradwell. Piotr ran 33 miles ascending 6300ft and included places such as Castleton, Kinder Scout, Ladybower Reservoir and Stanage Edge all on rough ground in a fine time of 8h10m.
